An Easy Way To Learn Self Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a very mysterious channel of healing which is often performed by a trained professional in a clinic setting, yet there are many people who simply cannot afford to do this or who are not comfortable seeing a practitioner in order to have this performed. For those who are so inclined, there is a way to learn self hypnosis and treat oneself at home with the healing effects that can be received in a clinical setting. All it takes is a strong desire to learn and follow instructions and a set amount of time that will be undisturbed in order for concentration to occur. Finding this time can be rather difficult with most people’s busy, hectic schedules, yet with the proper motivation and drive, it can be done.

Simple Steps To Learn Self Hypnosis

The first step when it comes to trying to induce a hypnotic state is to slow down and become relaxed. This is easier said than done, yet it is critical in order to start the hypnotic process. In order to learn self hypnosis, one must have the desire to follow these steps in order to achieve any significant results. First, the relaxation needs to be a deep relaxation in which you let go of any tension or stress and become limp and flexible. This process should not be rushed, as it is crucial to the rest of the exercise. This relaxation may take a few seconds to half an hour depending on how tense or stressed one is. Tensing and releasing certain muscle groups can be helpful with this step.

The next phase to start in order to learn self hypnosis is to deepen the relaxed state. You will not lose consciousness in this state, yet you may feel like you are going to sleep. When this state is achieved, a person will know that they are coming under hypnosis, as they will be watchful yet very calm. Sometimes, this may take a few months, but some people have success their very first try. Counting down from 20 backwards is one way that people begin to drift deeper, as well.

Now, a person is ready for the suggestion application stage in which their subconscious mind is opened up to receive their suggestions. One talks to themselves and tells themselves what they want to do, become, or be. For example, they might say, “I am eating less and losing weight daily.” Sometimes these are called image suggestions because of the images that are conjured in one’s mind during this time. Termination is the final stage in learning self hypnosis in which you want to tell yourself that this is the end of the hypnotic session, and you may possibly count to three in order to bring yourself back. People have used these methods for many years in order to help them think more clearly and overcome many types of addictions as well.
